Nice alternative.
But why do you drop it so often? Can that be addressed? I found when I dropped an cellphone it was because it had a slippery surface, an external antenna catching on something else (no longer an issue) or inattention on my part.
I find that since switching to any case that is textured or rubberized, I only drop it when I am inattentive. And when I still drop it, if the case has a tiny raised lip, I don't shatter the screen.
If I aimed a bowling ball at it like in the G-Form Extreme Sleeve video that Jim shared with us, my iPhone and case would lose. But you note that they use the word extreme in the name, as in "extremely unlikely to happen". Most screen protectors would not help if you dropped a bowling ball on it.
In the demo for the G-Form Extreme Sleeve on an iPad, you still had to remove it from the sleeve to use it, exposing it to damage if dropped. You notice that G-Form does not drop a bowling ball onto the screen of a cellphone in their G-Form case, because there is not protection from a raised object to the screen. And we do not walk on flat surfaces all the time.

I have to confess that I am a regular dropper of my phone. Sometimes it is just a foot or two; othertimes I have dropped my phone down the stairs (call me cluztzy). All of this said, a small footprint case that is designed to absorb shock coupled with a very good screen protector is excellent insurance against cracked glass and a broken phone.
You might want to consider one of these cases - they are slim but protective.

I also use the Spigen Ultra Oleophobic screen protector.
It is a great combination.
