No, not on my 3GS. If anything, the metal frame around the screen is slightly proud of the case, I use the supplied screen protector, though, and after nearly 5 years the phone is still like new. I've dropped it a couple of times but not from any great height.
The Feather has done what I wanted: add (almost) nothing to the size; keep the phone like new, and provide a grippy surface. Its protection is limited but has worked for the few minor drops it's suffered. If I dropped the phone screen-down onto stone or concrete I think it would be a different story.
