Yes, that was it. Thanks. Control Panel seems to come up a lot, must be the way I hold the phone or something. Same with Siri, always coming on.

Sounds like perhaps you have turned on the "rotate lock" function. From any
screen, slide up from the bottom of the screen. You should see a control
panel overlay, the top row of which will have 5 buttons. The one on the far
right side turns the "rotate lock" on and off. This button should not be
highlighted. If it is, tap it, and all should be well. My pet peeve with
this function is that not all apps will rotate....

Have I accidentally changed something or might it be the latest update - I
can't rotate view from portrait to landscape in mail or Safari.
Anyone else have this and how do I fix it?
Also I don't seem to be able to select to copy, etc.
