I have used Otterbox for the past three iPhones. I am happy with it.
I do have unintentional drops once in awhile and none of the phones has never broken in that case.
A couple time the clip broke because it dropped or I was too rough on it when getting my phone unhooked,
and when under warranty I got a new one from the company and when out of warranty I got a new ones on Ebay for a minimal cost.
I like having the phone clipped on to me so I always know where it is -- very convenient.
Granted it adds weigh and bulk to the phone but overall if it prevents breakage, I'm willing to put up with these disadvantages.
