LCD screens will wash out in sunlight.  But your brightness might have slipped to dark.  It's happened to me.

Try turning the screen brightness up and it make sure the phone is not hot as that makes my screen darker sometimes. Turn on your flash if there is bright light behind your subject.

Hi all:

When I'm outside on a bright day and I want to use my iPhone camera, all I see on the viewfinder screen is a blacked out surface. 

If I remove my hat and cover my face, I can just barely see the image I'm trying to capture. 

Have I toggled or failed to toggle a switch on my camera settings that does not give me a super bright screen for outdoor iPhone photography?

Does anyone else have this matter?

What is the solution?
