It does not. Mine syncs fine I'm running 12.01 on my iPhone X max three pads same thing no problem. My iMac keeps nagging me to update to Mohave but i haven't done it yet. All my photos update, i take a pic on my iPad or iPhone it pops up on my imac. I buy a TV or movie on my iPads it show up on my iTunes in iMac or apple tv. Nothing is connected by cables tho.
