Ah.  That might explain why I've not seen this.  I always kill apps I'm not using.

My son has an iPhone 8+.. Frequently he says it does the following..

Very briefly (i.e. for maybe a few milliseconds), a given app will dim its icon and have the message "Cleaning..." appear under it. I don't know what it's doing exactly, but I always have to reload the app from scratch whenever it happens instead of starting where I left off.

Does anyone know what this is or how to keep it from happening at all or as much? Thanks. I don't see it on my iPhone 6S.
