I'm sure you know this since you have traveled to Europe before - there are three power issues with traveling internationally.

1. You have to adapt the pins on your power cords to the standard at your destination. The link provided above addresses that issue.

2. Voltage. In the US the standard voltage is 117V. (Yes I know, people say 110 or 120, but it is 117.) There are operational ranges. In Europe 230V. If you read the tiny print on your phone charging cube you'll see that it accepts a wide range of voltages.

3. Frequency. In the US the alternating current switches at 60 Hertz (Hz, or cycles per second). In almost all of the rest of the world it is 50 Hz. Again check the tiny print on your phone charging cube.

Note that transformers change voltage but NOT frequency.

Always check the numbers for voltage and frequency on the labels of electrical devices. Most modern electronics are fine but always check. You can really damage things if you aren't careful. Going from 117 to 220 anything with resistive heat (hair dryers, curlers) is likely to be damaged or destroyed. Anything with a motor (hair dryers) designed for 60 Hz is likely to overheat on 50 Hz.

From a practical point of view the plug into an adapter into the power socket can be a little loose and may result in loose connections so you phone doesn't charge as much as you think it will. Good news - USB is 5 VDC around the world. An inexpensive local USB charger may be your best bet.

Have a great trip.
