I am glad you brought this up. It may not becoming up in discussion b/c it hasn't been a problem. HOWEVER, that being said: I use -imessages all the time and delete certain messages-no problem BUT I haven't done it since my latest phone upgrade and ios upgrade. So I followed what you were saying but could not get very far, because when I checkd a few messages to delete, suddenly there was no way to delete them-no garbage can at the bottom as there use to be for individual conversations to be trashed.. It says delete all which I did not want to do. So as usual, b/c his kind of bug for different apps seems to be happening more often. I shut my phone done and restarted it. Voila.. back to normal. So I tried what you said. I deleted a few messages. Then I presses on some more  til I got the more sign, etc. and was able to do this everytime.  I'm sure you know that after you delete a few messages you have to hold done a message again to get the more button. If you are saying it won't  come up at all, it is either a bug or you need to restart your phone. And if it still doesn't work either send feedback to apple about it or call apple and get some help..

In iOS Messages, there is the feature where you can tap and hold a message and it comes up with Copy More. Tap More and in the top left you get Delete All or you can tap the little circle on the left side of each message you want to delete, then tap the trash can in the bottom left to delete selected messages. I like to keep the list of names I message most in Messages, that way I don't have to start a new message and find the address of the person I want to message. So, I periodically go through and delete conversations in Messages. Problem, I can delete 2-3 conversations before the Copy More stops coming up. To fix this I have to reboot Messages. It becomes annoying when there are 6-8 people I'm clearing out conversations from. I'm guessing this is an under utilized feature of Messages because I have yet to find anyone talking about this not working. Apple has yet to fix the bug. Any suggestions for a fix would be helpful.
