Some add-ons that connect via the Lightning port lack any pass-through function or other connector.
So if they happen to drain power quickly, there is no way to both use them, *and* externally power the iPhone.
Now, I have located (and ordered) an extension that will let me connect the device even when the iPhone is in its protective case, but I would like to find something like a port-splitter, so that the device can connect at the same time a USB/Lightning power cable also connects.
I suspect this may not be possible, because of power considerations, but I thought I would ask anyway.
