Got my new iPhone 6+ on Sat. activated it restored data from older phone.
Pretty much everything worked, but mail. Spent over an hour with apple rep. who said I should redo my boxes but she said I'd be better off using IMAP not POP. So we redid all the boxes. Tested them but lost all me mail that was in there. Next day spoke to another rep. We also changed the email boxes on my computer and changed them to IMAP. I had to leave after an hour but made appointment for new appointment later today. Meanwhile, seems I have lost all my previous mail and still not getting new mail in some boxes that were usually very active. Both Apple and my server roadrunner reps agree they like IMAP better. It's possible so the roadrunner rep said that my old emails may still be somewhere on my computer, but I'm not sure where they are. That doesn't solve my incoming mail problems. I went into the webmail sight for roadrunner and even there no new emails for some boxes. Anyone have ideas about this?
What is also interesting is that what did later show up in some mailboxes was very old emails. In fact my gmail box which I only use for a couple specific sights, downloaded over 1300 pieces of mail!! One of my roadrunner mailboxes found old photos from 2009 and 2014 earlier this year. But internet sights I subscribe to are not coming thru.
Any ideas? I have to go to the group website to send and get answers! at least for now.
