I got this message also. My Apple affiliated store told me it can be caused by apps on your phone downloaded under a different apple id. I have grandchildren so that explained it to me! Later on I noticed (buried in a games folder) that there were three games grayed out. I assumed they were the culprit and deleted them. The phone has always worked seamlessly.Ann BoltonOn Nov 22, 2014, at 1:08 PM, DavidU2 davidu02@frontiernet.net [apple-iphone] <apple-iphone@yahoogroups.com> wrote:
I am finally ready to upgrade my iPhone 4S. However, I get this error message — https://www.dropbox.com/s/b8j81pvd3zhh6lm/Purchased%20items.png?dl=0 — when I try to start the upgrade. I'm flummoxed! I can't find anything in the iPhone docs that explain how to transfer files. Or which files? I think I have transferred all my apps. TIA for your help.
I looked through everything on my iPhone and didn't find greyed-out apps or photos or anything else. When I went to upgrade I still got the error messaged, but figured I had transferred all the essential stuff and upgraded to 8.1.1 anyway. So far everything works fine with no slowdown, and I occasionally find an excellent new feature to explore. Sweet!
