[apple-iphone] How do I get notification sounds back?

 

I've an iPhone 6 plus. When I receive a phone call or Message or other notification my phone just vibrates and does not play my chosen sounds when the phone is locked or when I'm using it. I've tried changing a variety of settings in sound, notification, privacy and apps, but still all I get is the vibrator.

Any suggestions about how to troubleshoot this?
