I assume that you are including the iPhone.iPad in "All digital cameras".
I just checked pictures, taken recently with my iPhone 5, with GraphicConverter and found NO metadata.
I looked at the photos on the iPad and found NO name.
Apparently the name assigned to pictures in Dropbox/Camera Uploads is added (created) by Camera Uploads. BUT the name/timestamp is the time the picture was taken and NOT the uploaded time.
Tried Image Capture, the picture had a generic name (IMG_0107.JPG) but it DID SHOW the date/time the picture was taken.
