[apple-iphone] Re: Wi-Fi/Bluetooth trouble - Time for a wipe and restore?

Hi!

To follow up, I did what I think is a proper wipe and restore.

Didn't help, so I'm down to thinking the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth chip is dying or the antenna is not well connected.

Now I'm down to deciding

1) Pick up a cheap 4S
2) Wait until the price on the 5's come down more

Here's what I did for my wipe and restore:

1) [Backup Now]
2) [Sync]
3) [Restore iPhone]
4) [Restore Backup]
5) [Sync]

Everything came back just fine -- including my Wi-Fi/Bluetooth problem :-(

Cheers!

The Wi-Fi is down to less than 10 feet from an access point and won't find any access points unless I am standing right next to them. The Bluetooth connection drops if I get more than about a two feet away from the other device. In the past, I have easily been able to get 20 to 30 feet between the devices before obvious packet loss.
