you likely had to provide your cell number and/or an e-mail address when you
downloaded that app. try going to the app's website and see if there is an
option to opt out of future notifications.

I am regularly getting alerts, which come through at my ringtone volume
(loud), and tell me in text something like: "It's time to update your
ringtones!"
I had once installed an app called Ringtones #1 on the iPhone, but have
since deleted it from the phone. Is there any way to eliminate these
annoying nag alerts?
