Well, at the moment my Updates Tab is working and viewable again. Don't know if there is any relationship to what I was doing just before it began working, but here is what I was doing:
Redownloaded the Netflix app I have removed a year ago and then saw a Netflix related magazine I wanted and downloaded that. Since the mag was new to my iPad I had to put in my password. After that I went to the Update Tab and lo and behold the Tab was working.
So, coincidence? The use of my password or maybe the downloading of a new or old app? Hey, no other "fix" was working that I tried, so anything is worth a try.
