[apple-iphone] Re: ios 6 iTunes Match

I have never activated iTunes Match. But I make regular dupes of my music library on external drives.

I prefer using playlists. I can still access songs, albums, artists, whatever, but I've found if I put different things in playlists it's easier to do bulk uploads and offloads to the phone. And it's easier to manage the space using playlists rather than checking individual songs.

Check out smart playlists too. I decided about two years ago I wanted to listen to my entire collection (currently somewhere around 20,000 songs). I decided to go alphabetical by album to mix it up. So I've created smart playlists of 0 plays and album starts with ("St" for example) and the playlist is populated with songs from albums that start with "St" that haven't been played. They are automatically removed when played.
