Change is hard but the new Photos app has more editing told I think you'll like, if you're into editing photos. Mostly I use Snapped my iPad mini for photo editing.

Sad but true. I am asked to upgrade my Mac OS, some-thing I am loathe to do as I shall lose the wondrous iPhoto software which won't work with the new OS.I tried Photos but it doesn't have the ease of use that iPhoto offers. This single application prevents me from buying the latest MacBook which I know will be faster and superior in labyrinthine ways.

I do not know what happened. Maybe it was because I did a restore from a Time Machine backup…. my mode of operation is haphazard and I don't keep good records of what I do.In desperation, I re-formatted the main HD and did a clean install of MacOS High Sierra and then re-installed iTunes 12.7. Right after I installed it, a pop-up told me that I needed to install some special software in order for my iPhone to connect, so I told it to go ahead. The install took a long time, but after it finished, the MacBook could see the iPhone again and I could do backups to the MacBook again.Bim Bwho is not an expert but bungles throughOn Oct 29, 2018, at 6:04 AM, Brent flapdoodle@gmail.com [apple-iphone] <apple-iphone@yahoogroups.com> wrote:I believe it is telling you to update iTunes. This is still possible with iOS 11 which runs on my iPhone 7.. However the new XS max doesn't sync with iTunes and calls for an upgrade in the Mac OS which I'm unwilling to go for as the super user-friendly photo management ap iPhoto will cease to run and I'll be forced to use the ap Photos which has replaced it.

Mine syncs fine I'm running 12.01 on my iPhone X max three pads same thing no problem. My iMac keeps nagging me to update to Mohave but i haven't done it yet. All my photos update, i take a pic on my iPad or iPhone it pops up on my imac. I buy a TV or movie on my iPads it show up on my iTunes in iMac or apple tv. Nothing is connected by cables tho.On Oct 28, 2018, at 6:05 PM, Otto Nikolaus otto.nikolaus@googlemail..com [apple-iphone] <apple-iphone@yahoogroups.com> wrote:Which macOS version are you on?OttoOn Sun, 28 Oct 2018 at 21:20, sanjaya kanoria kanoria@me.com [apple-iphone] <apple-iphone@yahoogroups.com> wrote:The problem with iOS 12 is that it requires my Mac OS to upgrade and if I do so my iPhoto program will cease to work. So now having invested in the iPhone XS max it cannot sync with iTunes on my computer.
