Re: [apple-iphone] Switching from Android question?

No Alice - I was just invested in Windows long before Apple cane along for me. I do use iCloud for the apps that sync across devices and the contacts etc. but I had used Evernote for years and years then the price skyrocketed so I switched to one drive - Microsoft had a conversion utility that converted my extensive Evernote collection to one note notes. Easy peasy.

Box had an iOS special a couple of years ago. If you downloaded the iOS app the free offering was raised to 50GB. And I love Box for its speedy sync across all platforms and the GUI that lets PDFs and word files be read like ebooks. The pages curl and flow just like paper. I find it so easy to read and retain things that way.

Susan, why One-drive and Google over Apple? Are they better?

You can access iCloud through a browser on windows. I have Windows too. I don't use iCloud much. I have One Drive and Box and Google. Google photos has an app for iOS that syncs any pix you take on the phone.
And I believe within the new Files app in iOS, files can be moved to the other cloud services and vice versa.

I do not text very much that needs to be saved so am not sure about archiving those.

I have to as I am not just Apple, I have Windows and Android devices.

I can probably use iCloud on my X and Windows computers I think, but not sure

if I can access it from Android.  Maybe with a browser, but not sure if it would

backup photos and things like that.  Now I am wondering??????
