Re: [apple-iphone] Apps not updated for ios 11?

My old apps gave me a warning for at least a year before the release of iOS11 and encouraged contacting the developer.  I did that for several old apps that I really liked, but did not receive a response from any of them.  I'm sure the developers received even more information from Apple than we consumers and simply chose not up upgrade their apps.

You're entitled to your opinion, but I disagree. There was a *lot* of warning that this was coming. All developers were notified well in advance, and the news was publicized widely to consumers before the release of iOS 11.

This is a great disservice to Apple users and there was no proper warning contained in the upgrade explaining that many excellent aps which perform excellently on my other phones where I haven't upgraded will cease to function.

Only the most intelligent users understood beforehand what the upgrade entailed.

Of course the upgrade has many new and wonderful features but I think apple must ensure that any ap developer is paid only partly with some-thing held back by it to ensure that he keeps pace with each update..
