Thanks Jim! That   may be the only solution. I know I can use the normal web site but then it is   usually much harder to read on the small screen. Maybe I can bookmark the mobile   web site in Safari and accomplish the same thing.

I use LastPass. It will allow you to copy the password to paste into the app. And it works across iOS, Mac, Windows, different browsers, etc.
Roboform does that too but it is a pain to open that app with a password to copy and paste another password to another app. I was hoping there was an easier way.
This is a security measure imposed by Apple.
On the other hand, letting Safari remember and input such data has been   made MUCH more secure.
