Re: [apple-iphone] Wifi Temperature to iPhone

Now, you really have my attention.

I have looked at the La Crosse Temp & Humidity Stations, but I had not noticed their Alerts. I would love it if they had a graphing app for their thermometers, and a way to get that data into my computer.

If you go this route with La Crosse, please post a review of what you think of it. Especially the true cost of those alerts.

I have a X10 system running in my house so that was one of the first places I looked. In the past, I was sure they had something like that but I could no longer find it. In general X10 sends commands but the device that receives the command, sends nothing back. X10 would require that I have a PC running to connect the WiFi portion of the control setup. There is another extended standard for X10 which does send commands back but it would take both a new transmitter and a receiver.

The iGrill device is interesting but it communicates with the iPhone via Blue Tooth which does not work for me. I need WiFi.

I found a device on Amazon that might work. Here is the link:

It gets some good reviews and some very poor reviews. If anyone has any personal experience with this device, I would be interested in hearing about it. It has both an IOS and Android app. It looks like there may be a new version that has just come out also. That might fix some of the problems.
