[apple-iphone] Re: Help with spam calls

 

Replying to spam calls or texts is risky in itself, since it validates the number, which can then be sold. Spammers often don't worry about the do-not-call list. I'm on AT&T, which charges you to block calls, and spammers will then use a different number. If I don't know or recognize a number, I tend not to answer it. There is a small ray of hope, in that iOS7 will, at long last, include a blocking feature.

Then I use that number when asked for a phone number on a website so that number gets distributed instead of my iPhone number.
