Look at X-10 or whatever other name it might go under, now. I believe you will find remote thermometers, and you can probably relay that back to an existing computer. From there you can find apps that will chart or graph it and but it on a web site. Also look at remote home control and monitoring for examples.

The one thing Wilton is trying to do this one thing, cheaply. That is the trick. With the temperatures of a hot tub and the need to be waterproof, that is not going to be easy.
