Hello Folks,
My problem is a little different than anything I've seen posted here.
I have an iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.3. Verizon is my carrier.
When at home everything works fine from my home Wi-Fi, but as soon as I
leave home I can't use anything but the phone.
Let me rephrase that, I'm not able to access anything online, such as
Facebook, Safari, Find Friends, etc.
There are many times that I cannot send or receive a text message as well,
though that is very sporadic.
The phone will launch any of these apps, but the connection circle at the
top of the screen spins and spins, never able to connect.
Under SETTINGS/GENERAL I have Enable LTE turned off. We're quite rural and
don't have access to LTE anyway.
Verizon told me when I leave home to try turning off Wi-Fi to see if that
helped - it does not.
I have worked with Apple about this issue. I have completely restored my
phone twice.
Verizon has offered to replace the phone, but I only want to do that if
absolutely necessary.
I would like to know if anyone here has suggestions or ideas what I can try
before I ask for a replacement.
Thanks so much!
Janet
