Which just goes to show the OP, that the minimum size she should buy depends upon how she plans to use the iPhone, and the apps she expects to put on the iPhone. Rule of thumb, get the bigger one.
I was going to ask Jim S, how many he uses daily, weekly, and monthly. I have 156 and I am starting to remove some. Jim I, I also travel for work, and so I have a bunch for that that I don't use when in my home area. I keep a fair amount of music on my iPhone, way more than I listen to, and usually 3-5 audiobooks on it at a time. I use the camera for work and pleasure and usually move them to my Mac when it reaches about 200 images.
As Jim S hinted at, if you use a map app that installs the maps on the iPhone, then it will be a huge app. But when you travel to where there may be no cellular signal, you need that.
So for me the minimum size iPhone is 32 GB, but then again that is for me.

I easily have over 200... but I don't use more than a third of them regularly. Lots of online radio/music, photography and travel apps (for work)...
