Re: [apple-iphone] Travel to Italy

Hi, Nancy
I just got back from Venice and Bolzano and was in Rome and Cinque Terra last year. The iPhone worked beautifully. I just called ATT and asked for international service and texting. Use wifi whenever you can (in the hotels) and you can get iMessage with no trouble at all. For charging your phone and other electronics, just get the 2 prong round plug and you will be fine.
This applies to AT&T carrier. Don't know about Verizon or T-Mobile

I have looked this information up online but would love to hear from people who have actually used the iPhone in Europe.
What is the best adapter for charging an iPhone 4s, 5 and iPad

any input on cell coverage would be great. We will be in major cities (Rome, Florence, Venice)

Thank you
