My daughter, who before had an iPhone 4, just bought a 4S from AT&T. On the 4S if she leaves the Cloud setting for Calendar at 'Off', her calendars include the '+' in the upper right corner of the screen, allowing adding events. However, if she turns the Cloud setting to 'On' and returns to the Calendar the '+' appears where expected. This is contrary to how my 4S works as well as to how others I've checked work.
Shutting down, via holding down the top switch, and restarting doesn't fix the problem. Any clues as to what's wrong?
