They did a soft launch to those of us who had previously purchased juice
packs and registered to be notified when it was ready. I received mine on
2/13 and havent taken it off my phone - it at least doubles my battery
life. It is quite a bit different form previous juice packs and more like
a similar product in case had previously released in that the battery
"pack" is in the back piece and the "control" is in a bottom snap on piece
that goes into the lightning port, adds about half an inch of link to the
phone and comes with a headset "extender" as well. I'm not very fond of
the design changes but considering how long it took them to get it out, I
am sure they have their reasons...
All in all it does what you need it to and if you need the battery life is
worth the money but it doesn't have the previous elegance to it if you use
plug in headphones - I use Bluetooth so it doesn't really matter.
