This is an iTunes question but I'm putting it here because it affects my iPhone.
I have switched hard drives where my music is stored. Whenever I try and play a song in iTunes I get an error message that it can't find the song (it is still looking for the old nonexistent location). I have redirected iTunes to the new location and imported the songs correctly. iTunes now shows each song at least twice, once with the correct location, but the old listings are still there in effect showing a bad listing for each song also. Is there any way to get iTunes to test each link and erase the bad ones automatically? There are too many for me to do individually. If that cannot be done can I just erase the entire library good and bad and then re-import the correct locations from scratch? If so how? (I am a rookie).
