[apple-iphone] Remove books from iPhone 5

Hi,

I just got a message on my iPhone about a book being downloaded.

Since I have never downloaded a book to iPhone I decided to look into it.

Starting at iTunes I saw that there were two books checked for the iPhone.

Looking at iBooks on the iPhone is see 13 books. I tried deleting them, got acknowledgement but the books are still there.

Back at iTunes I checked and unchecked a few books and did the "Apply" and "Sync". NO change.

There doesn't seem to be any relation between the iTunes list and the iPhone list.

I looked in the "iPhone User Guide For iOS 6 Software" book, books are not even mentioned.

What am I missing? Is this a lost cause?
