27" iMac, 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 12gig RAM, OSX10.8.2, 1 TBHD/iPhone4/v6.1.2
I synced 30+ PDFs to read on my iPhone4. Decided to change the names of the 30+ files to read them by date published. Copied the 30+ to my desktop from iTunes Media folder. Deleted & trashed the 30+ from iTunes on the iMac. Changed the names of the 30+ on my desktop. Reimported them into iTunes. Synced them to the iPhone4.
Problem: now there are two lists of 30+ files on the iPhone4. The old 30+ cannot be opened. Weird that I am supposed to be synced with iTunes.
I tried restoring the iPhone4 from backup, then deleting the old list. I tried restoring the iPhone4 complete from backup.
The only way to rid the iPhone4 of the old list of 30+ pdfs was to completely wipe the iPhone4, then manually drag and re-install apps, books, movies, pdfs, picture.
Anyone had this inability of the iPhone to forget trashed items?
