(Assuming you're using Windows on your desktop computer, like me.)
iTunes has the possibility to rip a CD or part of it, and in the process optionally retrieve track and album info from the Web.
However, I don't currently see that feature in the menu, probably as I don't currently have a CD inserted.
Please be patient with your computer and iPhone, for I consider iTunes 11 (for Windows) among the most clumsy software I have ever used. (I have sent that feedback to Apple.)
