Re: [apple-iphone] Satellite Navigation for iPhone

Thank you for taking the time to respond.

That's good advice about keeping the phone connected to the power supply, Thank you

I downloaded Magic Earth yesterday and used it to make a journey that I know - it seemed OK

I never received Chris Laarman's message - I don't know why but computers are a mystery to me!

With best wishes and thanks again.

The built-in Maps app is OK but also try Waze <https://www.waze.com/en-GB/>

Whatever you use, remember to plug the phone in for power in the car or you will use a lot of battery, and also try to download the maps/route over Wi-Fi before you set off to reduce your mobile data usage.

You could use built-in Apple Maps, add free Google Maps, or add off-line MAPS.ME. Other possibilities not included.

Being a cyclist in the Netherlands, I default to Google Maps, but I have a "remove adds" subscription to MAPS.ME (and I keep my maps updated).
