It's free, and you may download maps of just about every nation in the world. This means you don't need to rely on cell towers connecting you to the internet, as you do with Apple Maps or Google Maps. Magic Earth doesn't have the features and polish the the others do, so I don't use it every day, but it always works.Alvin
