When it says it is someone I know, I DO ring them back. Sometimes they will answer....sometimes it rings and rings and they say when they answer, it is like no one is there. Even when they do answer, there is still a problem with my phone that I wish I could fix.
It is not always the same number and I really don't want to block a friend.
I was just in hopes someone might have had that happen and would know how to fix the problem.

If you can see who is calling, why NOT ring back and ask why he or she rang you.
Machinery exists to dial numbers for marketing, et hoc genus omne. If you answer, somebody will talk if they are available - otherwise silence.
If it's always the same number - and NOT somebody you know, why NOT just block that number?
