[apple-iphone] Re: Upgrade questions

Thanks to all who responded to my original questions. I think the iTunes route is the way to go since I'm not sure all my apps backup data via iCloud.

Currently my DH and I share an iTunes/Apple account and password because I handle all of the household tech. If I wipe the 5S after doing the backup/transfer to the 7, will I be able to use that account to set up th 5S as his, or would it make more sense to set up a separate Apple account for him and turn on Family Sharing?

We also share an email address (which started as a business decision years ago and would be a nightmare to separate) though I have my own as well. I can imagine this could make iMessage and FaceTime complicated. If I set up his 5S to use his phone number only (no email accounts) will that work?

Thanks again for all your help.

Have you tried the highest rated email app?
With 4.5 stars in iTunes, the Yahoo Mail app is the highest rated email app on the market. What are you waiting for? Now you can access all your inboxes (Gmail, Outlook, AOL and more) in one place. Never delete an email again with 1000GB of free cloud storage.
