Have you tried the highest rated email app?
With 4.5 stars in iTunes, the Yahoo Mail app is the highest rated email app on the market. What are you waiting for? Now you can access all your inboxes (Gmail, Outlook, AOL and more) in one place. Never delete an email again with 1000GB of free cloud storage.

Re: [apple-iphone] Siri makes me repeat requests since iOS 10 update

I've also similar problems with Siri! I often need to go to Safari to type in my request.

Is anyone else experiencing this?  Does anyone have any advice on how to cure her?

[apple-iphone] MacBook Pro issue

This is somewhat off topic, but it is Apple related. I hope some of you Mac people can help.

I know this group is dedicated to iPhones and similar idevices; but I'm sure many of you have Mac computers.

I recently updated the OS on my MacBook Pro to the newest version, "Sierra". It came out around the same time as iOS 10 for iPhone/iPad.

I have a 32GB SD camera card. When inserted, it recognizes it fine. I can view the photos, transfer, delete them from card, etc.

My issue occurs when I attempt to eject the SD card. It now says that "The disk wasn't ejected because one or more programs may be using it". It then gives me the option to try again, or force eject. ONLY force eject works.

If I force eject, take the card out, put it back in, then eject again; it ejects normally.

This did not happen before the upgrade.

Also, I did the recent update to the OS, Sierra version 10.12.1 and the problem still occurs.

This does not happen on my fiancée's PC...

Also, this does not happen with my iPhone or iPad when syncing.

Any ideas? I did a Google search and found nothing... it's a Samsung "EVO" SD full size card if it makes any difference...

Jim's response is also the way texting works on the Mac if it is configured to do so.  I sent a link with instructions a few days ago.

The cost of sending iMessages is practically zero.
Every iPhone is also able to send standard, pay-as-you-go, SMS text messages over the cellular networks.

A version of the iOS Messages application with support for iMessage was included in the iOS 5 update on October 12, 2011.

After 1 year, Tim Cook announced that Apple device users had sent 300 billion messages using iMessage. By February 2016, the number of iMessages sent had grown to 200,000 per second.

I am astounded that you've never read anything about how they work.

The same App works for both.
You compose a message and send it.
If the users are both using iPhones and have set up iMessage, it is sent as an iMessage.
If either of those conditions is not met, it is sent as a standard SMS text message.

Your desktop Mac doesn't have cellular service; that's why it can only send iMessages from the Messages app. Your iPhone has cellular service, so it can send iMessages *and* SMS/texts. On the iPhone, the color of the message tells you how it was sent/received. On the Mac, there is no color distinction.
