That's really strange. The traceroute looks fine. Your MacBook is resolving the domain ok, and the routing gets all the way there, no problem.
First, I'd try a different web browser like Firefox (www.getfirefox.com) and/or clear the cache in Safari and try again.
Second, since nhl.com can resolve to different IP addresses, it's remotely possible that you just had some bad luck on the MacBook and reached a wedged/down server. To reset this, first try a quick Restart. If that doesn't help, quit all apps and flush your DNS cache...
