Re: [apple-iphone] spam

I use IMAP.  I have ever since 2006. I have also set up rules in iCloud to move certain emails with certain addy's to certain folders.  As far as I know, there isn't a way to mark an email on my iPad as junk like I can on my Mac.

Alice, have you looked into using IMAP and setting up your Rules on your iCloud account and training it to handle the spam and junk? Then all of the devices will have this available to them.

On your computer you can flag emails as junk and they go into your junk folder. I haven't found a way to do that on my iPhone.

Joan, Unsubscribing from spam only confirms that they got to an active email address. Don't do it.

since upgrading to latest iOS on my iPhone 6 I have been inundated with spam ads which claim I have subscribed to sites as wide ranging as relief from student loan debt(I'm 76 yrs old with no debt of any kind) to funeral arrangements. all this comes through a site of eNews. I did not sign up or subscribe to any news sites or ads from any of these spam emails. how can I block these things? I've deleted/ "Unsubscribed" from 10 sites in the last 24 hrs. ive never had this problem in the past with any iPhone. Sent from my iPhone Joan
