Thanks. Once they've been copied to the computer it doesn't matter what you
do with them on the phone. It's not a 2-way sync.
You can easily delete them from the phone by connecting the phone to iPhoto
and using the 'Delete' option.
If you want to view *some* of your photos on the phone, use the option in
iTunes to sync them back. They will then be available in the Photos app,
not the camera.
You do keep backups of your iPhoto library (and other user files), though?
