[apple-iphone] Will Apple Force Carriers to provide Upgrade Path for iPhone 4S Owners?

 

iPhone 4S came out in October, '11... so when (if) it comes out next month [supposed to be announced on 9/12, and released on 9/21], I wonder if Apple will allow 4S owners to upgrade without a penalty. I mean its only one month, but in new iPhone terms, that could go into several weeks as the demand will be monstrous.

Its weird that they'd upgrade after only 11 months.
