Re: [apple-iphone] fast battery discharge on home Wi-Fi

Poor wifi reception is my first thought.

Has router got a fault? Is connect rate same as before? Can you try another router to test?
Any physical changes at home such as moved modem, any sheet metal now nearby, any new wifi devices now in the home?

Subject: [apple-iphone] fast battery discharge on home Wi-Fi

Hello all. I have a model 4 iPhone. It has been working very well since I
got it new, a few months after they came out. Anyway, for the last month or
so, I have noticed rapid battery discharge, when I'm at home only! After
some experimentation, I noticed I can stop the rapid discharge by turning
off the Wi-Fi radio in the iPhone. It only does this at my home! At work,
or any place else that I have noticed, that has Wi-Fi, I can have Wi-Fi
turned on on the phone with no rapid battery discharge. I have tried
re-setting my router at home, with no effect. I have restored the iPhone
via iTunes, with no effect.

To re-iterate, if I turn the Wi-Fi on the phone off at home, it doesn't
discharge rapidly. Very puzzling! Does anyone have any thoughts as to what
I could try to do to remedy this?

Thanks in advance.

Ken
