[apple-iphone] "forgetter" circuits instead of "memory"?

 

My wife has had an iPhone4s and loves it. So I finally got one yesterday. I think they maybe put in "forgetter" circuits instead of "memory".

Does anyone else have this problem?

At first, I thought the store just didn't transfer all my contacts. Okay, I'll live with that and start putting them in manually.

Then I notice that some numbers that I put in are missing!

Then to top it off, when I tried to send a text message this morning, it told me that I needed my phone number stored before it could send text messages. I had been sending text messages with it yesterday! But today, my number was blank!

Has anyone else seen something like this?

Right now I need a reliable phone (wife is in the hospital) and the store is an hour away and I don't have time to fool with things. If I have time tomorrow I will probably just take it back (within the 3 day period) and go back to my dumb phone with the broken screen....

Any other ideas?
