[apple-iphone] Can't get email, calendar disappeared

 

My iPhone 4S is about three months old and has worked fine up until now. I use Hotmail.

For the past few days I have not been able to check my email. Whenever I tried to check email I got an error message: "Cannot get email. Connection to the server failed."

I went to the Settings menu and deleted my Hotmail account from the phone. Then, I added it back the same way I did when I first set up the phone.

Now I get the same error message when trying to check email.

My calendar has disappeared.

I can SEND email messages.

When I go to Hotmail on my computer, my calendar is there with all the info I added since I got the iPhone.

The iPhone shows only one folder on my email -- INBOX -- actually, my email has over 20 folders.

Any suggestions?
