Re: [apple-iphone] Droid-like iPhone keyboard?

I use a an aluminum blue tooth keyboard made for the iPad 2 (http://www.amazon.com/Apple-Aluminum-Bluetooth-Keyboard-Exterior/dp/B005ISNC86/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1325363678&sr=8-5) I really wanted the ZaggMate keyboard but not for $99. The link goes to one that looks like the ZaggMate but generic. It works quite well for long emails and such. The iPad is a great piece of computer to have. I use it quite a bit. It's the perfect size for most things. I find it too big for texting unless I'm using a keyboard. I find I have my iPhone with me all the time and text from it mostly. I use my index finger and tape each letter. I've gotten pretty fast at texting that way. My brother still thumb texts on his iPhone. I tried that and the muscles in my thumbs started hurting pretty quickly. I'm sure that's because I'm not use to thumb typing.

Swype doesn't sound like an improvement over the iPhone keyboard if it makes more misspellings. It took me awhile to get the hang of tapping the onscreen keyboard back when I got my first iPhone (3GS.) Now it seems normal. But I must admit, when I'm writing more than a sentence or so I use the Apple bluetooth keyboard with my iPad. (Like now.)

Quite a bit of the time when I get messages from my friend, I have to figure out what he's trying to say because swype misspells a lot. I know the iPhone has spelling problems too but it doesn't seem as many misspellings as with Android. The guy has been using Android for quite sometime now, so I'd think he has the swype thing down.
