I just updated from an iPhone 6 to an iPhone 8, but I wanted to keep using my Bose earphones, so I also got a 3.5mm audio jack to Lightning adapter. As I understand it, this item is nothing but a passthrough device, connecting the physical pins from one style of connector to the other, but it came with a little instruction sheet that says I have to connect it using Bluetooth the first time ... why?
And for that matter, why the heck does it _have_ Bluetooth technology integrated into it?
Regards,
Nicholas
