But

Innovation is father of necessity

There are many things which I do now which were not my necessity

But I started using them when they became available.

Not noting down anything but taking photos of articles for future reference is one of them

Using Whatsapp is another.

Putting daily and weakly alarms ( several tens of them) is another.

And the list goes on.

I will replace my iPhone 6 this year.
It was bought in January 2015 so ransom is getting paid after 5 years only.

Smartphones have become a necessity, and the need will only intensify.

I dislike the cheap, greedy thing that Apple's become, but that's life.

Every three years seems reasonable. Once you can no longer upgrade your operating system, it's time to pay the Mafia.
