Hey, when I traveled I used my phone for a lot. Since I hurt my back, I don't get around much any more, so while I don't need to keep several movies, several books, all my passwords, no I take that one back, but also all my frequent flyer numbers on my phone, and I use the maps less than when I traveled. For me internet controlled gizmos in the home have been a pain.
To each his own. I had an older neighbor that only wanted it to make calls in and out, and keep an address book. The only reason he wanted texting, was because his youngest daughter wanted to communicate with him that way. Me, I was lucky to get more than 3-letter answers from him. I used to tell other people, use only as much technology as you are comfortable with, because of him.
So to each their own.

I agree. :> Sounds like a $50 Trackfone would meet your needs, but some of
us actually use the phones
like they were intended. I have about 200 apps on the phone I will be
switching from, all my banking, investing
home finance app, my home camera security apps, multiple email accounts, TV
type streaming apps and so on.
If a small screen outdated phone works for you great, just I use mine like
a pocket computer really. So when I am not
at home, I can still do almost everything I can when home.
